Habitat for Humanity in Wayne County

We bring people together across Wayne County to build homes, strengthen communities, and create lasting opportunity - because everyone deserves a decent place to live.

Built Around a Mission That Serves Real Families

Why We Do This Work Together

We bring people together in Wayne County to build homes, strengthen communities, and create real opportunities for families who are ready for a better future. As a nonprofit housing ministry, we partner with people from all walks of life—working side by side with families who invest in their own success through sweat equity, education, and commitment. This isn’t about giving a house; it’s about building stability, confidence, and a foundation that lasts for generations.

Since 1986, we’ve been part of a growing movement to make affordable housing possible—right here in our community. With the support of volunteers, donors, and local partners, we’ve helped families move from uncertainty into safe, affordable homes they can sustain. Every home we build reflects what’s possible when a community comes together with purpose—to create not just shelter, but lasting change across Wayne County.

The People Behind the Mission

A Local Team Supported by Community Leadership

We are a small, dedicated team supported by a volunteer Board of Directors and a network of people who care deeply about this community. Our volunteers help build homes, support ReStore operations, and move projects forward every day. This structure keeps us connected to real needs and grounded in local experience. Together, we bring practical solutions, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to building something better.
